Strategic fleet decisions.

Strategic decisions.

Electric vehicle (EV) charging networks are crucial for the widespread adoption of EVs, but the challenge lies in creating a simple and convenient charging experience for the driver. One of the quickest-growing, highest-value driver categories that public charging networks look to attract is high-mileage business and fleet drivers, who require reliable and seamless charging solutions.

By making the big decision in 2020 to build our own software platform, Osprey Iris, to manage our network of rapid chargepoints, Osprey were able to integrate early on with commercial EV fleet solutions, attracting thousands of high-mileage, high public-charging usage drivers to use the network.

This approach has paid off for Osprey and we have become the public charging partner of the British Gas fleet and the first and longest-standing network on Allstar's One Electric fuel card. We seamlessly provide charging and billing for all the major EV solutions for business car and van drivers.

Through this key strategic decision, we have been successful in capturing the market for business and fleet drivers, increasing our revenue from this segment by 99% in 2022.

Our software platform is the heart of our business, providing us with the flexibility to adapt our charging solutions quickly. The platform's functionality allows Osprey to monitor and manage our charging stations remotely, optimise charging rates and payments, and offer an intuitive and user-friendly experience to the drivers.

Osprey's success is proof that investing in proprietary software platforms can be a game-changer for the EV charging industry. By owning and controlling their technology, charging networks can provide reliable and seamless charging solutions, attract high-value business and fleet customers, and provide a simple charging experience that empowers all people to make the transition to electric.

At Osprey we make the right decisions, for the future of the planet.
