Transport + Energy Awards 2023: Best EV Charging Network.

At the Transport + Energy Awards, held on November 16th, Osprey was honoured to be awarded the title of "Best EV Charging Network." The judges commended Osprey for its unwavering commitment to delivering an exceptional customer experience. This recognition arrives amid a year where we substantially expanded our network across Great Britain, doubling its size, while ensuring that our rapid charge points maintain their hallmark reliability and ease of use for EV drivers.

The team’s focus on quality, openness for all drivers and rolling out large, high-powered charging hubs has earned us this Award. I’d like to thank everyone at Osprey for their efforts and we should all be very proud.

Electric Vehicle Innovation and Excellence Awards 2023: A Night of Triumph.

Osprey's achievements continued to shine at the Electric Vehicle Innovation and Excellence Awards 2023, held on the 21st of November, where we clinched multiple awards.

  • Chargepoint Network of the Year
  • Charging Destination of the Year
  • Private Sector Infrastructure Strategy
  • EV Marketing / Branding Campaign of the Year

This recognition closely followed our win at the Transport + Energy Awards, solidifying our leading position in the EV charging sector. The judges acknowledged our exceptional growth trajectory, notably the expansion of large high-powered hubs, which played a pivotal role in doubling the size of our nationwide charging network while upholding reliability and accessibility standards for all drivers.

Our Salmon’s Leap Super-hub in Devon won Charging Destination of the Year. The site is a template for the EV-only refuelling stations of the future. With extra-long bays, extra-wide bays and all 16x 300kW chargers laid out in Osprey’s accessible design, drivers can plug in and relax at the on-site local farm shop and coffee shop. Less than 2 minutes drive from the Devon Expressway (A38) but nestled in Dartmoor National Park.

Osprey’s eye-catching artwork seen on Osprey chargers across the UK won EV Marketing / Branding Campaign of the Year. This recognition is testament to Osprey’s inclusive approach to charging. We want to create an environment that is open and welcoming to all drivers, extending from the accessible layout that all our new sites have through to the ease and range of payment methods we accept. We believe all drivers should have access to simple, reliable rapid charging, and the charger artwork represents this through themes that are important to Osprey staff.

Ian Johnston, CEO of Osprey Charging, was also awarded the Special Recognition Award. The award is designed to celebrate the achievements of truly inspiring individuals within the EV sector, reflecting on those who have truly taken the industry forward through their leadership, dedication and ingenuity.

Our commitment to delivering superior service, reliable charging, and an inclusive environment for all drivers remains unwavering as we continue to push the boundaries of excellence in the EV charging network.
