Two new Osprey hubs in Merseyside.

• The new hub at Manor Farm Pub and Restaurant is located just off the M62, providing drivers between Liverpool and Manchester with sixteen new super-fast charge points.
• Together with a recently opened eight-charger Osprey hub at Cables Shopping Park in Prescot, these two hubs add twenty-four new 300kW EV charge points to Merseyside in April.

Osprey Charging, the UK’s leading EV rapid-charging network, has boosted access to public charging in Merseyside with 24 new high-power EV chargers installed at new hubs in Rainhill and Prescot, supporting local residents, businesses and visitors with reliable EV infrastructure.

The 300kW rapid charge points are compatible with every EV on the market today and can typically add 100 miles of range in just 15-20 minutes, depending on the model of the vehicle and its battery.

Located at Manor Farm pub in Rainhill, just off the M62 between Liverpool and Manchester, and Cables Shopping Park, the chargers provide an ideal spot to power up on a shopping trip or enjoying a coffee en route on the motorway.

Easy to use and designed with simple payment for drivers, Osprey Chargers accept contactless bank cards, Apple/Google Pay, the Osprey App and RFID card payments as well as payments through all major third-party payment methods including fleet cards. Osprey is a multi-award-winning network and a ZapMap ‘Driver Recommended Network’ for the fifth consecutive year.

Osprey Charging is dedicated to delivering super-fast, simple and convenient charging to all EV drivers, and the new Merseyside hub is a crucial part of Osprey’s roll-out of public charging infrastructure in key locations across the UK. Manor Farm will be the largest rapid EV charging hub in the Merseyside area, and the largest hub in Osprey’s longstanding partnership with landlord Marston’s PLC.

As EV uptake increases across the country ahead of the 2030 ban on new petrol and diesel vehicles, more and more of Merseyside’s visitors, locals and businesses will look for EV charging as standard. As such, this installation will encourage EV uptake in the area, bolstering the UK’s national charging infrastructure as well as improving local air quality, reducing noise pollution and supporting local decarbonisation efforts.
